Our Story

About Gravity Wellness

Gravity Wellness began with a single conviction: that the sauna — one of the oldest and most effective tools for human rest and recovery — should be available in British homes without demanding a specialist budget, a rewired circuit, or a week of installation. We set out to build a range of premium home saunas designed specifically for how British people live, not adapted from formats built for other markets.

Our material standards are not an afterthought. Canadian hemlock is chosen for specific reasons — its tight cellular grain absorbs and diffuses heat evenly, its low resin content means it performs cleanly at high temperatures without off-gassing, and its dimensional stability means it holds its form through years of regular thermal cycling. We do not work with whatever softwood is easiest to source. We specify the timber, hold it to consistent grading criteria, and build from there.

Every cabinet that carries the Gravity name is inspected before it leaves our facility. Door seals, panel joins, heater function, wiring integrity, and surface finish are all checked against a fixed standard. If a unit does not meet that standard, it does not ship. This is not a marketing claim — it is a practical commitment to fewer returns, fewer problems, and a product that performs from day one. We also design for the realities of British homes: compact footprints, standard 13-amp plug connectivity, and self-assembly systems that two adults can complete in under two hours without specialist tools or trade knowledge.

The Gravity range comprises two collections. The Arc series delivers full-spectrum infrared heat therapy — near, mid, and far infrared wavelengths working simultaneously to warm the body directly, at lower ambient temperatures and with faster heat-up times than conventional sauna formats. The Vale series brings authentic Finnish sauna culture home: electric kiuas, löyly-ready stone beds, and the intense convective heat of Nordic tradition, in indoor and outdoor models built to withstand British conditions. Both collections share the same commitment to material quality, considered design, and honest construction.

What We Stand For

Materials First

Every Gravity sauna begins with Canadian hemlock selected for its cellular density, low resin content, and natural resilience to moisture. We do not use whatever timber is available — we specify the material, then build around it. The result is a cabinet that handles daily thermal cycling without warping, cracking, or degrading over time. The grain stays tight, the joints stay true, and the interior remains stable for years of regular use.

Designed for UK Homes

British homes are not Finnish ones. They are smaller, they have standard 13-amp sockets, and they rarely have dedicated wellness rooms. Gravity saunas are dimensioned to fit a large bedroom, a garage conversion, or a garden room without specialist electrical installation. Every model runs from a standard UK plug, requires no planning permission for indoor installation, and assembles using a tool-free tongue-and-groove system that two adults can complete in under two hours.

Quality Before Despatch

Before any Gravity sauna leaves our facility, it is inspected against a fixed checklist: panel alignment, door seal integrity, heater function, wiring safety, and finish consistency. We do not rely on packaging to protect quality — we verify it first. If a cabinet does not meet our standard, it does not ship. This means fewer returns, fewer disappointments, and a product that arrives ready to perform rather than requiring remediation.
